About Us
A NEW ERA HAS ARRIVED
Nutata is dedicated to the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of the Tonda Gentile del Piemonte hazelnut, a variety of the highest quality. From planting to processing, our goal is to create, for generations to come, a sustainable industry for hazelnut products by developing one of the most modern, efficient, highly mechanized, and eco-friendly processing plants of our time.
On a second stage, Nutata is planning the materialization of a state-of-the-art peeling, roasting & processing unit capable of meeting tomorrow’s domestic and global industry growth, transforming an excellent raw material into high-quality products.

Tonda Gentile del Piemonte
WORLD'S MOST DELICIOUS HAZELNUTS
Considered as one of the best hazelnuts for the confectionery industry, Tonda Gentile del Piemonte is characterized by its crunchy flesh, long shelf life, and amazing flavor and aroma, especially when it’s roasted. Its shell is of medium thickness, dull brown in color, and with numerous streaks.
The seeds vary in shape, with a compact and crunchy consistency and a delicate and long-lasting flavor. Piedmont hazelnuts are the essential ingredient of Gianduiotto nougat pralines, a typical Piedmont confectionary product, but they’re also widely used in the preparation of various pastry creams, cakes, ice creams, and liqueurs.

Nocciola Romana
WORLD'S MOST DELICIOUS HAZELNUTS
Traditionally produced in the neighboring provinces of Viterbo and Rome, Nocciola Romana refers to dried hazelnuts of the Tonda Gentile Romana and Nocchione varieties, grown in the micronutrient-rich volcanic soil of the Cimini and Sabatini mountains.
Whether enjoyed raw, dried, or roasted, the crunchy Roman hazelnuts are packed with monounsaturated fats and vitamins E and K, but they're also rich in calories.
Nocciola di Giffoni
WORLD'S MOST DELICIOUS HAZELNUTS
Named after Giffoni Valle Piana, a lush valley settled at the foot of Mount Licinici, Nocciola di Giffoni refers to dried hazelnuts grown and produced within the province of Salerno. Typically shelled and roasted, the hazelnuts of Giffoni are particularly prized by the confectionery industry for their flavor, aroma and long shelf life.

Organic Cultivation & Precision Agriculture
HIGH DEGREE MECHANIZED CULTIVATION
Precision Agriculture is a high-end cyber farming management approach that focuses on observation, measurement, and process of orchards field data. The trees get the exact amount of inputs they need. Using this technology, it is possible to optimize the use of nutrients and water which helps to minimize environmental impact and to improve quality through real-time monitoring of the trees.
Precision Farming consists of:
-
Remote Sensing
-
Water & Fertilizing Management
-
Climate & Weather Forecast
-
Crop Management
-
Traceability
